The organization was formed by local leaders and key community stakeholders with intent to forge collaborative approaches for addressing emerging community issues and hence the origin of the name ‘Community Action Forum for Networking’.

Addressing emerging community issues
CAFNet’s areas of focus includes women and youth empowerment, environmental conservation, integrated land management, eradication of retrogressive cultural practices including Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriages, peace and conflict resolutions, climate change mitigation and poverty reduction through livelihood enhancement, education and capacity building of women-youth.
